JZE45 Uni-Flex Leather Split Sole Jazz Shoes • Pre-arched
Soft, secure and exceptionally easy to move in, the So Danca JZE45 Uni-Flex Jazz Shoe combines the feel of a traditional leather jazz shoe with a highly flexible stretch middle. Its close-fitting shape follows the foot beautifully, while the split rubber sole provides the controlled grip dancers need for turns, jumps and travelling movement.
A particularly versatile choice for regular jazz, musical theatre and intensive training, JZE45 gives dancers plenty of articulation without sacrificing that reassuringly secure feeling around the heel.
Personality
Secure • Articulated • Versatile • Performance-Ready
Available in three classic dance shades, JZE45 moves easily between studio and stage. Black is the traditional choice for jazz class and professional training, while Tan and Caramel create warmer, more continuous leg lines for performance and musical theatre. If you're buying for a dance school or college, always check their required shoe colour before ordering.
So Danca JZE45 Jazz Shoes – Design & Performance
The JZE45 Uni-Flex combines a soft leather upper with a pre-arched nylon-spandex middle, allowing the shoe to sit closely around the foot while stretching naturally through the arch and instep. The result is a streamlined jazz silhouette with very little unnecessary bulk beneath the foot.
Its low-cut profile keeps the ankle visually open, while the flexible middle section helps the shoe follow the arch as the foot points. This construction also makes JZE45 particularly adaptable through the instep and a useful option for dancers who find more traditionally shaped jazz shoes restrictive across the foot.
Underneath, separate rubber forefoot and heel pads create the split sole. The flexible area between them allows excellent articulation, while the textured rubber contact points provide controlled traction for turns, jumps and quick changes of direction.
One of the JZE45's strongest features is its close heel construction. Designed to hold securely around the back of the foot, it helps reduce unwanted heel movement during turns and landings while preserving the light, flexible character of the shoe.

The Dance World Jazz Shoe DNA™ compares the defining characteristics of every jazz shoe. A higher score does not necessarily mean a better shoe - it shows the balance of comfort, flexibility, articulation, grip and floor feel so dancers can find the shoe that best suits their training and performance needs.
Dance World Notes
Heel fit is the standout: The back of the shoe holds particularly securely, which is valuable in a very flexible slip-on where excess heel movement can otherwise become noticeable.
Studio-to-stage versatility: With Black, Tan and Caramel available, JZE45 works particularly well for dancers moving between weekly training, musical theatre, auditions and performance.
Dance World Tip - Try your jazz shoes with what you'll actually dance in. Socks, bare feet and different dance tights can subtly change the fit. When possible, fit the JZE45 wearing the same tights or socks you expect to use for class or performance.
So Danca JZE45 – Dance World Fit Advice
Close through the foot. Secure at the heel.
JZE45 is more forgiving through the arch because of its flexible middle section. From advanced dancers through to students and beginner adults, we generally recommend true to measured foot size through to ½ size up, depending on foot shape and preferred fit.
For younger dancers, approximately ½ to 1 full size up can allow for growth, provided the heel remains securely held with no slipping.
Dance World Fit Note: Always start from the dancer's measured foot, not the size of their everyday shoes. JZE45 is particularly worth considering for a broader foot or fuller instep, but the heel should still remain securely held with no noticeable slipping.
Fit advice is a guide only. Foot shape, width and preferred performance fit can affect the best size for each dancer.
